Australian Viral 50

The Viral top 50 section  of spotify is a branch top 50 chart but the order in which the songs are placed are calculated by how new and how quikcly a track gets popular. This means that tracks that aren't necesarily the highest rated or the most listened to can still be part of the Viral 50 if they gain a burst of popularity. This also means that the tracks on the list are constantly changing, with the list being updated everyday, it makes a great place to visit if you're in the mood for some new music that you may have not heard before. To demonstrate the difference between the Australia Top 50 and the Australia Viral 50 way of selection, i will make it evident through a comparison of the top 5.

 It can be seen from the two lists that the order in which the songs are rated on the spotify lists are completely different except for the new single by DJ Khaled, I'm the One, which places first in both lists as it would have gain alot of traction early on and also have a huge amount of plays.

I (#5-#1) In this last post for our 2017 Rap/RnB Countdown, we’ll go through our #5-#1 albums, this is where it starts to get interesting, so let’s get straight into it. #5 Joey Bada$$ -  ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ Number 5 goes to the 2 nd studio album from Joey Bada$$ titled ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$. This second album from Joey really puts him on the map for his ability in writing bars and spitting them with passion and flow. We get a chance to hear from Joey’s soul in this album, touching on contemporary America and racism, especially in Land of the Free saying “And the land of the free is for the free-loaders, leave us dead in the street to be their organ doners...still got the last names, of our slave owners”. Top #15 Hip-Hop and RnB Albums of 2017 Pt. I

2017 Album Countdown Pt. I (#15-#11) 2017 has been an amazing year for Hip-Hop and RnB in the first quarter of the year (Jan-Apr), with definitely more to come this year (we’ve heard word of another Kendrick album, and new music from Anderson Paak., A$AP Mob, Rocky and D.R.A.M). Over the next 3 posts, we’re going to cover our top 15 albums so far this year, starting with #15-#11 right now! #15 Mike WiLL Made-It-  Random 2 At number 15, we have Ransom 2 by Mike WiLL Made-It. Featuring artists like Rae Sremmurd, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, YG, and Kendrick Lamar, it is a big album this year, but just didn’t make it far up the ladder for us.
