Top #15 Hip-Hop and RnB Albums of 2017 Pt. II

2017 Album Countdown Pt. I (#10-#6) In this post, we’ll pick up right we left off with our Top 15 countdown for Hip-Hop/RnB so far for the year! Also how did you feel about our #15-#11? Did we miss anything that should’ve been up there? Leave us a comment on this post. #10 Sampha -  Process Starting off this next 5 albums, comes Sampha’s Process at number 10. With only 10 songs, this sweet little debut studio album from the British artist was released at the start of February, and truly captured his style and musical gift. A perfect blend of electronic meets RnB in this masterpiece, heard strongly in songs like Plastic 100C and Reverse Faults ( well worth a listen if you like electronic beats). The first single he dropped from the album, (No One Knows Me) Lke the Piano is such a sweet piano ballad, with a catchy and heartfelt melody that allows us to journey into Sampha’s personal life.  There’s no doubt here that Process deserves spot #10 on our cha...

Top #15 Hip-Hop and RnB Albums of 2017 Pt. I

2017 Album Countdown Pt. I (#15-#11) 2017 has been an amazing year for Hip-Hop and RnB in the first quarter of the year (Jan-Apr), with definitely more to come this year (we’ve heard word of another Kendrick album, and new music from Anderson Paak., A$AP Mob, Rocky and D.R.A.M). Over the next 3 posts, we’re going to cover our top 15 albums so far this year, starting with #15-#11 right now! #15 Mike WiLL Made-It-  Random 2 At number 15, we have Ransom 2 by Mike WiLL Made-It. Featuring artists like Rae Sremmurd, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, YG, and Kendrick Lamar, it is a big album this year, but just didn’t make it far up the ladder for us. The whole album kind of blends into one, with not much contrast between songs (which is never a good thing). The songs Gucci on My (feat. 21 Savage, YG & Migos) and Perfect Pint (feat. Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane & Rae Sremmurd) are notables on the album, with the vast array of big names in hip-hop allowing this album t...
