The Viral top 50 section  of spotify is a branch top 50 chart but the order in which the songs are placed are calculated by how new and how quikcly a track gets popular. This means that tracks that aren't necesarily the highest rated or the most listened to can still be part of the Viral 50 if they gain a burst of popularity. This also means that the tracks on the list are constantly changing, with the list being updated everyday, it makes a great place to visit if you're in the mood for some new music that you may have not heard before.
