2016 was a big year for Rap, Trap, RnB and all other sub-genres of Hip-Hop. Albums dropping left, right and centre from big name artists and also new and upcoming artists, our top 10 would be:

  5. Kanye West - The Life of Pablo

  9. A$AP Ferg - Always Strive and Prosper
  10. ScHoolboy Q - Blank Face LP
We also saw some bangin' albums from artists who are fairly new to the game, including:

  3. Anderson .Paak - Malibu

2017 has already started off with so much good music. More and more new-age rappers are busting out and finding their way on the charts, artists like: Migos, Quavo, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Playboi Carti, Joey Bada$$, 6LACK...just to name a few. 



WHAT'S NEW: Kendrick Lamar's April 2017 Album "DAMN." sold 233K copies the second week. So far the album has sold 843K

I (#5-#1) In this last post for our 2017 Rap/RnB Countdown, we’ll go through our #5-#1 albums, this is where it starts to get interesting, so let’s get straight into it. #5 Joey Bada$$ -  ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ Number 5 goes to the 2 nd studio album from Joey Bada$$ titled ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$. This second album from Joey really puts him on the map for his ability in writing bars and spitting them with passion and flow.
