Ladies from the 80's

Welcome to yet another post; this post will be about "Ladies from the 80's!!!!"

The 80s was a time of PacMan and Space Invader's PC games (that's right... a PC). John Lennon was shot and died in the 80s, Charles and Diana got married, Microsoft released 'Word,' The Simpson's aired for the first time, and so forth.

With all these accomplishments the 80s produced, it's safe to say that a lot of great music came out of the 80s too. Various lady singers made their debut and fast tracked their way to fame this decade, still leaving their mark on music to this day. In this post I will discuss some:

- I wanna dance with somebody-Whitney Houston. This was a brilliant dance/ pop track and is still one of the most popular dance anthems today!

- Girls just wanna have fun - Cyndi Lauper. If you've ever heard this song, you'll know that it's one of the most catchiest songs; guaranteed to be stuck in your brain for the rest of the day.

- Like a Virgin - Madonna. Madonna had released many songs prior to this, but this song by far topped the charts. If you went to a hens night, a bachelorette party, or just a night out with the girls, this song was sure to be a no brainer.

- Heaven is a Place on Earth - Belinda Carlisle. Mellowing down a bit to this song, it provided a for a great relaxing time to just enjoy and appreciate it.

These are just a few of the top Ladies of the 80's songs, but be sure to check out: https://www.thetoptens.com/most-memorable-80s-songs-by-a-female-singer/ for a more comprehensive and explicit list.

Be on the look out for our next posts, and while your at it, check out some others. Until next time, thanks for stopping by from the ISYS 100 music 100 team!
